Diagnostic

The Owner's Code

A short read: what stage the business is at, and which task is the key one at that stage.

The 'Owner's Code' diagnostic is currently available in Russian only. The mentor answers in English. A full English version is in closed development.

Recognize yourself?

  • I've been about to start for a year — waiting until I'm ready. And ready never comes.
  • I have an idea and I believe in it — but does anyone need it besides me?
  • Customers keep coming, yet the money doesn't grow. Do I earn on each sale, or lose?
  • I carry everything myself. I'm the bottleneck of my own business — and I feel it.
  • We started with a friend on enthusiasm — now I fear losing both the business and the person.
  • It all worked out, but inside it's empty — and there's no drive to want more.

Even one line about you? The diagnostic shows what's behind it — and what to do next.

What the diagnostic reveals

  • ·What stage your business is at — and what's normal for it versus already a risk.
  • ·Where growth is really stuck — often not where it seems.

What you'll see on the result screen

  • ·A diagram of your company's axes and the "main thought": where the axes diverged and what follows from that.
  • ·The owner's role — in words, without a score. It describes a position, not a grade for you.
  • ·One of the verdicts for your situation, marked "preliminary" and "self-reported".
  • ·A link to your result: it opens later, together with the history of your attempts.

Free · a bit over twenty questions · anonymous, no signup

You can't fail it: it's a mirror, not an exam. The result is a starting point and a footing for the next step, not a grade.

What this is not

  • Not a diagnosis and not a final conclusion — a preliminary read, and one built on your own self-assessment.
  • Not psychometrics and not a personality assessment. What's assessed is the stage of the business, not the person.
  • Not calibrated: thresholds are initial, and there aren't yet enough completions for real calibration. That's honest, and it's temporary.
  • Not a replacement for a live breakdown — it's the way into one.

Data and consent

The survey is taken anonymously and without signup: consent is asked at the end, not at the entrance. Your e-mail is used to send a link to your result — the message itself contains no result. The link opens a portal with the history of your attempts, and an entry can be removed from it.

What comes next

Right after the result there's a button to book a personal breakdown. The boundary is simple: free is everything that could be told to anyone; paid is what only makes sense for you alone. Better to know that before you start than after.

Built on an original model

The 'Owner's Code' is Maxim Tsalkin's own model: it joins world business-lifecycle frameworks with real practice working with owners. Not a retelling of books — theory grown from practice.
